Mumbles is surrounded by beautiful beaches. We are lucky to be just a short stroll 15-20 minutes (up and down a hill) to the beautiful blue flag beach of Langland. You can even swim in Mumbles Bay when the tide is high from either Knab Rock or closer by near Southend Gardens and the Gower SeaFood Hut. So no excuses, pack a cossie or trunks and jump in!
There is such a variety of beaches to suit all tastes, perfect SUP spots, soft sandy, pebbly, big surf and even the amazing natural blue pool on the north of the Gower. Here are the beaches extending from Swansea around the Gower with a few tips on where to buy food and drink too. Gower Holidays has a great beach guide with more information too.

Blue Pool Bay
Blue Pool Bay is one of the Gower Peninsula’s prettiest bays and also one of the quietest. This is thanks to the fact it can only be reached on foot from Broughton just under a mile away. 40 minutes drive.
The bay at Blue Pool is like a rocky bite out of the coastline which has been filled by a stretch of pristine golden sand. The name of the beach comes from a supersized rock pool (about 15ft across) on the eastern side of the bay. The Blue Pool was once said to be bottomless, although this is not the case it is up to 8 metres deep at high tide.
Burry Holms
At the northern end of Rhossili Bay is Burry Holms, a small tidal island that is accessible approximately 2.5 hours after high tide. 40 minutes drive.
